Jasmine Francisca Lopes Jorgensen of São Filipe, Fogo, Cabo Verde turned 19 on October 7, 2024. She was one of the teenagers who competed in the 24th edition of Miss Earth.
Jorgensen grew up in São Filipe but she later moved to Denmark. Her father is Danish while her mother is Cabo Verdean.
Miss Fogo 2022
On April 20, 2022, Jorgensen competed against 11 other Miss Fogo 2022 candidates in São Filipe. She won the title.
Runner-up to Jorgensen was Denise Pina Mendes, 19, while Lidiana Monteiro, 19, was the second runner-up. Both Mendes and Monteiro are residents of São Filipe.
Because Jorgesen was a minor at the time, she was not allowed to compete at Miss Cabo Verde Internacional 2022, which was won by Stephany Amado of Mindelo at the Largo Amílcar Cabral in Praia, Cabo Verde on September 3, 2022. Mendes, who was one of the 20 candidates, was unplaced.
On September 13, 2022, Amado represented Cabo Verde at Miss International 2022 and competed against 65 other candidates at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. She was runner-up to Jasmin Selberg of Germany.
Miss Cabo Verde Internacional 2024
On March 30, 2024, Jorgensen represented Denmark at Miss de Iles du Cap-Vert em Europa 2024 and competed against nine other candidates at Villanova in Rue René Legueu, Villenoy, France. She won the title.
On August 2, 2024, Jorgensen represented Europe’s Cabo Verdean community competed against 21 other Miss Cabo Verde Internacional 2024 candidates at the Assembleia Nacional de Cabo Verde in Praia, Cabo Verde. She was runner-up to Akysanna da Veiga.
On November 12, 2024, da Veiga will represent Cabo Verde at Miss International 2024 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. She will compete against 70 other candidates.
Miss Earth 2024
On September 10, 2024, Jorgensen was officially appointed Miss Earth Cabo Verde 2024. On October 12, 2024, she traveled from Lisbon, Portugal to Metro Manila, Philippines.
On October 17, 2024, Jorgensen appeared as a guest on Aliw Channel 2023 in Pasig City, Metro Manila with Miss Earth Australia 2024 Jessica Lane and Miss Earth Netherlands 2024 Faylinn Pattileamonia. On November 9, 2024, they competed against 73 other Miss Earth 2024 candidates at the Okada Manila in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Lane won the title. Jorgensen finished in the Top 8 and Pattileamonia finished in the Top 20.
