Solange Tuyishime Keita, 42, represented Canada in the 26th edition of Mrs. World. She will represent Rwanda in the 74th edition of Miss Universe.

Solange Keita

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Keita is a mother of four. She graduated from St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada in 2005 a bachelor’s degree in journalism and the Université de Moncton in New Brunswick in 2008 with a master’s degree in public administration.

Since 2009, Keita has been a United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) ambassador. From 2011 to 2013, she was a member of the youth advisory group of the Canadian Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Keita founded Naylah’s Legacy in 2014 and Elevate International in 2017. She held several beauty pageant titles including Miss Canada International 2006, Miss Galaxy Canada 2011 and Mrs. World Canada 2021.

On January 21, 2024, Keita represented Canada at Mrs. World 2023 and competed against 37 other candidates at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino in Winchester, Nevada, United States. She was runner-up to Dr. Julia Schnelle of Germany.

Miss Universe 2025

On August 9, 2025, Keita represented Ottawa at Miss Universe Canada 2025, competed against 71 other candidates at the St. Clair College Chrysler Theatre in Windsor, Ontario and finished in the Top 26. The title was won by Jaime Yvonne VandenBerg, 28, of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

On October 8, 2025, Keita was appointed Miss Universe Rwanda 2025. This makes her the beauty queen to represent Rwanda in Miss Universe.

On November 21, 2025, Keita and VandenBerg will represent Rwanda and Canada, respectively, at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. They will compete against more than 130 other candidates including Dorcas Dienda Kasinde, 30, of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Marie Aurelie Carinne Alcindor, 31, of Mauritius, Naisae Yona, 28, of Tanzania, Kunda Mwamulima, 29, of Zambia and Lyshanda Moyas, 27, of Zimbabwe.
