
Greece will be represented in the 74th edition of Miss Universe by Mary Chatzipavlou (Μαίρη Χατζηπαύλου). She is an economist and a model.
Born and raised in Elefsina, West Attica, Greece, Chatzipavlou graduated from the Department of Economics of the University of Patras in Patras, Western Greece, Greece in 2017. She has visited several countries including Italy, the United States, Spain and France in 2022, Monaco in 2023, Hungary, Austria, the United Arab Emirates in 2024 and the Czech Republic, the Maldives and Morocco in 2025.
“Big Brother Greece” Season 8
On February 17, 2025, Chatzipavlou turned 32. She competed against 19 other housemates at “Big Brother Greece” Season 8“, which aired on Skai TV from April 27, 2025 to July 27, 2025.
It was Christos Ntentopoulos who won the reality show. Nikos Zafeirakis was the runner-up.
Theofaneia Nikolaidi, Giorgos Antoniadis and Zoi Asoumanaki finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively. It was Chatzipavlou who was evicted first.
Miss Universe 2025
On September 24, 2025, Chatzipavlou won Miss Universe Greece 2025 at Empati North in Athens, Greece where she competed bested 17 other candidates. Runner-up to Chatzipavlou was Maria Manouri (Mαρία Μανούρη) and the second runner-up was Mary Chatzipavlou (Μαίρη Χατζηπαύλου).
The competition was organized by Star GS Hellas under the directorship of George Kouvaris. Miss Universe Europe and Middle East 2024 Matilda Wirtavuori, 25, of Finland served as one of the judges.
On November 21, 2025, Chatzipavlou will represent Greece at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She will compete against 131 other candidates including Laura Gnjatović, 23, of Croatia, Michaela Tomanová, 27, of Czech Republic, Sarah Dzafce, 22, of Finland, Eve Gilles, 22, of France, Kincső Dezsényi, 21, Hungary, Andrea Valero, 28, of Spain and Latifah Morris, 31, of Trinidad and Tobago.
