Nathalie Emmanuel as vegan
Emmanuel is very conscious about what she eats. It started about 10 years ago when she was in Los Angeles, California, United States for work.
At the time, a friend studying holistic nutrition told Emmanuel about the link between diet and disease. The English actress started to eat vegan after her friend explained to her its benefits.
“My family is Caribbean and I wanted to make plant-based eating work and still feel a connection to my cultural food,” Emmanuel told Only Natural Diamonds. “I got into Google and found there’s a lot of vegan food in the Rastafarian religion. All this stuff came up with Ital and its mentality around food and health. The way they eat from the earth, it’s very unprocessed and organic.”
When it comes to Emmanuel’s decision to eat vegan, her family was very supportive. Her mother is also vegan now.
