From being the runner-up, Sdivya “Vyan” Trisni Shanmugalingam, 22, of Selangor, Malaysia is now the new Miss Grand Malaysia 2026 titleholder. She will represent the country in the 14th edition of Miss Grand International.
Miss Grand Malaysia 2026
On July 23, 2026, Trisni represented Selangor at Miss Grand Malaysia 2026 and competed against 11 other candidates at Confetti KL in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. She was runner-up to Sunoshini Dhanabalan of Negeri Sembilan while Gracelyn Tigang of Sarawak was the second runner-up.
Miss Grand Malaysia national director Melisha Lin hosted the coronation ceremony. The judges were Miss Grand Malaysia 2023 Kash Bhullar, The Miss Globe Malaysia 2024 Lee Min Qi , Malaysian Beauty Pageant Fan Club co-founder Edwin Richard, Double Event Management founder and president Faiz Noh, Yonsei Saebom Medical Clinic Asia chief executive officer Kim Dong Gyun and Goddess of Nature Malaysia co-founder Riesa Anne.
On August 2, 2026, the Miss Grand Malaysia organization released a statement confirming the resignation of Dhanabalan. The organization explained that it was due to health circumstances requiring her full attention and recovery.
In the same statement, the organization confirmed that Trisni is taking over the title. The organization invited everyone to welcome the new titleholder and “extend their full support as she begins her reign and prepares to represent Malaysia on the international stage”.
Miss Grand International 2026
On October 18, 2025, Viviana Lin Winston represented Malaysia at Miss Grand International 2025 at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. She competed against 76 other candidates including Emma Tiglao of the Philippines, who won the title.
Winston was unplaced. Runner-up to Tiglao was Sarunrat Puagpipat of Thailand and the respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Aitana Jimenez of Spain, Faith Maria Porter of Ghana and Nariman Battikha of Venezuela.
On October 10, 2026, Tiglao will crown her successor in India. There are still no details about the exact venue of the coronation ceremony.
