[PHOTOS] South Korea vs China: Dae Hwan Kim, Ayideng Jumayi fight at ‘ONE: For Honor’ in Indonesia

South Korea and China were among the 16 countries represented at “ONE: For Honor.” It was the second ONE Championship event in 2019 that took place in Indonesia.

Featuring 10 mixed martial arts matches and four ONE Super Series contests, which are four Muay Thai bouts, “ONE: For Honor” took place at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 4, 2019. The seventh bout of the evening was between “Ottogi” Dae Hwan Kim, 32, of Seoul, South Korea and “The Kazakh Eagle” Jumayi Ayideng, 27, of Xi’an, China.

Kim and Jumayi solely represented South Korea and China, respectively, at “ONE: For Honor.” Australia, Cambodia, England, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Russia, Scotland, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam were also represented.

Blue Corner

Born in China on September 28, 1991, Jumayi has been competing professionally since 2011. He is making his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: For Honor.”

Jumayi is training out of Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand. He previously competed in Ranik Ultimate Fighting Federation, Dacheng Wuyi, Wu Lin Feng and Rebel Fighting Championship, among others.

Red Corner

Kim is a fourth-degree black belt in taekwondo and was a KAMMA Bantamweight Champion. He made his professional MMA debut in 2008 and joined ONE Championship in 2013.

“ONE: For Honor” marked Kim’s 10th ONE Championship outing. He is training out of Ryeong Promotion and KukJe Gym.

Fight Results

Kim and Jumayi competed in an MMA match in the bantamweight division. Olivier Coste served as the referee.

Coste put a stop to the contest after 4 minutes and 11 seconds in the third round. Kim knocked out Jumayi.

Winning at “ONE: For Honor” improved the professional MMA record of Kim to 15 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw. On the other hand, Jumayi now has 17 wins, 5 losses and 1 draw.

Jonathan “The General” Haggerty, 21, of Walworth, London, United Kingdom challenged reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, 34, of Buriram, Thailand in the main event. [RESULT TO BE ADDED HERE]
