The Republic of the Congo will be represented at Miss Grand International 2026 by Roxana Perla Ngouadi, 24. It is the 14th edition of the international beauty pageant based in Bangkok, Thailand.
This makes Ngouadi the first ever Miss Grand International candidate from the Republic of the Congo. Hailing from the country’s capital city Brazzaville, she speaks Lingala, French and English.

In 2021, Ngouadi graduated from Amour Deï in Pointe-Noire, Republic of the Congo with a science-track high school diploma. From 2021 to 2023, she attended the Institut Superieur de Technologie et de Commerce (ISTC-EPP) in Pointe-Noire where she earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial maintenance.
From August 2022 to November 2022, Ngouadi was an assistant industrial maintenance technician intern at Alucongo in Pointe-Noire. In September 2023, she entered the Université Sorbonne Paris Nord in Villetaneuse, Seine-Saint-Denis, Île-de-France, France.
From July 2024 to August 2024, Ngouadi was a station service agent at Enjoi by Samsic. In September 2024, she joined VINCI Facilities France in Nanterre, Hauts-de-Seine, Île-de-France as a maintenance technician.
In June 2026, Ngouadi graduated from the Université Sorbonne Paris Nord with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and maintenance. On August 2, 2026, she won the inaugural edition of Miss Grand Republic of the Congo at the Embassy of the Republic of the Congo in Paris, France.
On October 10, 2026, Ngouadi will represent the Republic of the Congo at Miss Grand International 2026 and compete against 80 other candidates in India.
Republic of the Congo
Situated along the equator in Central Africa, the Republic of the Congo—often referred to as Congo-Brazzaville—is a nation defined by its vast tropical rainforests, rich oil reserves, and direct access to the Atlantic Ocean. Facing each other across the river, Brazzaville and Kinshasa are the two closest capital cities in the world.
The DRC is vastly larger, ranking as Africa’s second-largest country by land area with nearly 100 million people. In contrast, the Republic of the Congo is roughly one-seventh the size, with a population of approximately 6 million. While Congo-Brazzaville’s economy centers heavily on petroleum, the DRC is globally renowned for its critical mineral deposits, including cobalt, copper, and diamonds.
