Botswana’s Dabilo Moses from Miss Supranational 2023 to Miss Universe 2026

Dabilo Moses made history as the first ever Miss Supranational Botswana amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Now, she is set to represent Botswana in an international beauty pageant again.

Born and raised in Gaborone, Botswana, Moses will turn 26 on April 21, 2026. From 2019 to 2023, she attended the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Gaborone where she earned an honours degree in broadcasting and journalism.

Moses finished in the Top 16 at Miss Botswana 2021. She later won Miss Independence Botswana 2022.

On July 14, 2023, Moses represented Botswana at Miss Supranational 2023 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland. She competed against 64 other candidates including Andrea Aguilera of Ecuador, who won the title.

Runner-up to Aguilera was Pauline Amelinckx of the Philippines. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Sancler Frantz of Brazil, Emma Collingridge of the United Kingdom and Dang Thanh Ngan of Vietnam.

Moses, Ayanda Thabethe of South Africa and Sakhile Dube of Zimbabwe finished in the Top 24. They were the only African candidates who placed.

On August 30, 2025, Moses competed against 13 other Miss Universe Botswana 2025 candidates at the Adansonia Hotel in Francistown, Botswana. She was runner-up to Lillian Nompumelelo Andries while Tsutsu Wangu Modise was the second runner-up.

Andries was unplaced when she represented Botswana at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand where she competed against 119 other candidates on November 21, 2025. On December 25, 2025, the Miss Universe Botswana organization released a statement to announce that she had been stripped of her Miss Universe Botswana 2025 title.

On February 1, 2026, Moses was officially appointed Miss Universe Botswana 2026. In November 2026, she will represent Botswana at Miss Universe 2026 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

More than 120 women are expected to compete for the title. Among Moses’s fellow candidates are Wanderleia Rodrigues, 23, of Angola, Chloe Deher, 31, of Guadeloupe, Matoma Conde, 22, of Guinea, Alina Ekaterinecheva, 22, of Kazakhstan, Medina Ermekova, 24, of Kyrgyzstan, Zoulahatou Amadou, 24, of Niger, Eunike Lioe, 37, of Suriname and Clara Vegas, 24, of Venezuela.
