Mister International Ghana 2025 Bernard Yartei is inspired by Michael B. Jordan

Ghana will be represented in the 17th edition of Mister International by Bernard Kaw Yartei Asibu, who is a travel consultant by profession. This is the first time the African country is represented in the international beauty pageant founded by Alan Sim in 2006.

An official statement introducing Yartei as Mister International Ghana 2025 reveals that he is inspired by Michael B. Jordan‘s cultural influence. The latter is an actor and a filmmaker born in Santa Ana, California, United States and raised in Newark, New Jersey, USA.

Yartei stands 6’2″. Jordan is 6’0″ tall.

In 2006, Jordan moved to Los Angeles, California. Based in New York City, New York, USA, the Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2020 and in 2023.

Jordan played a boxer named Adonis “Donnie” Creed in “Creed” in 2015, “Creed II” in 2018 and “Creed III” in 2023. The actor also directed “Creed III”, which marked his directorial debut.

Hailing from the Central Region of Ghana, Yarte speaks English, Ga, Twi and Fante. He plays basketball, football and tennis and enjoys swimming, night driving, reading novels and playing video games.

On November 5, 2022, Yartei represented the Central Region at Mr. Universe Ghana 2022 and competed against 15 other candidates at the Alliance Française d’Accra in Accra, Ghana. He was second runner-up to Ashi Vils.

On August 15, 2025, Yartei was officially appointed Mister International Ghana 2025. On September 26, 2025, he will represent Ghana at Mister International 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand where he will compete against 41 other candidates including Coulibaly Sie Josue of Cote d’Ivoire, Charles Bondo Mateus of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cristiano Mendes of Guinea-Bissau, Pasika Palang’a Bisakaya of Kenya, Mamadou Traoré of Mali, Bethel Mbamara of Nigeria, Tshiamo Lucas Malatsi of South Africa and Mehri Salah of Tunisia.
