Lillian Nompumelelo Andries, 30, of Ramotwa, Botswana is set to go back to Thailand. She will represent her home country in an international beauty pageant again.
Also known as Lillian Dlamini, Andries speaks Zulu and English. From 2013 to 2017, she attended the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) in Palapye, Botswana where she earned a bachelor’s degree in geological and earth sciences.
From January 2018 to October 2022, Andries was a math and science teacher at Royal Academy Botswana in Gaborone, Botswana. In October 2022, she joined Botala Energy in Gaborone as a geologist.
Miss Grand International 2014
On October 7, 2014, Andries represented Botswana at Miss Grand International 2014 at the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand. She competed against 84 other candidates including Lees Garcia of Cuba, who won the title.
Runner-up to Garcia was Hiwot Bekele of Ethiopia. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Kathryn Kohut of Canada, Renera Thompson of Australia and Mónica Castaño of Colombia.
Andries was unplaced. On April 18, 2015, she served as a judge at Miss Teen Palape 2015 in Palape.
Miss Universe 2025
On September 21, 2024, Andries attended the Miss Universe Botswana 2024 coronation ceremony at the Gaborone International Conference Centre in Gaborone. On August 30, 2025, she competed against 13 other Miss Universe Botswana 2025 candidates at the Adansonia Hotel in Francistown, Botswana and won the title.
Runner-up to Andries was Dabilo Moses, 24, of Maitengwe, Botswana. The second runner-up was Itireleng Wangu Modise, 29, of Sebina, Botswana.
On November 21, 2025, Andries will represent Botswana at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She will compete against around 130 other candidates including Lexie Brant, 21, of Australia, Lina Luaces, 22, of Cuba, Jaime VandenBerg, 28, of Canada and Praveenar Singh, 29, of Thailand.
