Sanne-Esmee Walstra, 21, of Sint Jacobiparochie, Waadhoeke, Friesland, Netherlands is a model with a bachelor’s degree in international hospitality studies. She is 5’9″ tall and she speaks Dutch and English.
In the 25th edition of Miss Earth, the Netherlands will be represented by Walstra. She was 16 years old when she represented the country in the inaugural edition of Spectacular Teen International.
Spectacular Teen International 2021
Walstra was a Miss Teen of Friesland 2019 finalist. The title was won by Noa Zijlstra.
On November 27, 2021, Walstra represented the Netherlands at Spectacular Teen International 2021 and competed against 10 other candidates in Arandas, Jalisco, Mexico. She won the title.
Runner-up to Walstra was Ashly Olvera of Mexico. The second runner-up was Juliette Villalva of Argentina.
On May 1, 2022, Walstra crowned her successor Spectacular Teen Netherlands 2022 Renske de Zeeuw. On November 23, 2022, the former crowned her successor Spectacular Teen International 2022 Zamira Allende in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Miss Earth 2025
On April 6, 2025, Walstra was crowned Miss Beauty of Friesland 2025. On April 12, 2025, she turned 21.
On July 4, 2025, Walstra represented Friesland at Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2025 and competed against 11 other candidates at the Studio 21 Hilversum in Hilversum, North Holland, Netherlands. She won the title.
Runner-up to Walstra was Isabel Cramer of Noord-Holland. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Anna van Westbroek of Zuid Holland, Stacey Terstegen of Utrecht and Evy Gijsbers van Wijk of Gelderland.
Walstra will represent the Netherlands at Miss Earth 2025. Details about the date and venue of the coronation ceremony are still not final.
Including Walstra, more than 70 women will compete for the title. Among her fellow candidates are Florencia Hernández, 21, of Argentina, Jera Redant, 18, of Belgium, Génesis Vera, 24, of Mexico, Valeria Melendez, 25, of Puerto Rico and Haley Grace Poe, 22, of the United States.
