Nao Kawada, 25, is a graphic designer, an information technology professional, a model and a beauty queen. She competed twice in Nippon Bijin, a national beauty pageant that selects Japan’s Miss Intercontinental and The Miss Globe candidates.
The Miss Globe 2023
On August 24, 2022, Kawada competed against nine other Nippon Bijin 2022 candidates at the Rose Room of Keisei Hotel Miramare in Chūō-ku, Chiba, Japan. She ranked fourth and was named the second runner-up.
On September 30, 2023, Kawada competed against 10 other Nippon Bijin 2023 candidates at Mihama Bunka Hall in Chiba. She ranked second and was crowned The Miss Globe Japan 2023.
On November 17, 2023, Kawada represented Japan at The Miss Globe 2023 at the Ramazan Njala Sports Palace in Durrës, Albania where she competed against 50 other candidates. Manvin Khera of Malaysia won the title.
Runner-up to Khera was Katia Agbodo of Spain. Kawada was unplaced but she won the Miss Social Media.
Miss Supranational 2025
On September 24, 2022, Kawada competed against 17 other Miss Supranational Japan 2022 candidates at the Kanda Myojin Hall in Tokyo. She was third runner-up to Mayuko Hanawa.
On July 14, 2023, Hanawa represented Japan at Miss Supranational 2023 and competed against 64 other candidates at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland. She was unplaced.
On April 27, 2025, Kawada represented East Tokyo at Miss Supranational Japan 2025 and competed against 17 other candidates at the Takeshiba Port Hall in Tokyo. She won the title.
On May 2, 2025, Kawada attended Puteri Indonesia 2025 at the Plenary Hall of Jakarta International Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. The title was won by Firsta Yufi Amarta Putri, 24.
On June 27, 2025, Kawada will represent Japan at Miss Supranational 2025 in Nowy Sacz. She will compete against 71 other candidates including Putri, who will represent Indonesia.
