Paulethe Cajas’s stardom from Miss Ecuador 2023 to Miss International 2024

Paulethe Cajas Vela, 23, of Quito, Ecuador is representing his country again in an international beauty pageant. She is currently in Tokyo, Japan for the 62nd edition of Miss International.

In 2018, Cajas was crowned Miss Hispanic Ecuador 2018 and Reina Intercontinental Ecuador 2018. Later that year, she represented Ecuador at Reina Intercontinental 2018 in Chihuahua, Mexico and won the title.

On July 1, 2023, Cajas competed against 22 other Miss Ecuador 2023 candidates at the Recinto Ferial Dr. Alfonso Torres Ordóñez in Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Sto. Domingo de los Tsáchilas. As the first runner-up, she was crowned Miss International Ecuador 2024.

Delary Stoffers of Guayas was crowned Miss Ecuador 2023. The respective second, third, fourth and fifth runners-up were Maria Jose Barzallo of Azuay, Nicole Pinilla of El Oro, Nahomi Guzman of Manai and Sulay Mora of Guayas.

On November 18, 2023, Stoffers represented Ecuador at Miss Universe 2023 and competed against 83 other candidates at the Gimnasio Nacional José Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador, El Salvador. She was unplaced.

On August 4, 2024, Cajas served as a judge at Miss Grand Colombia 2024 at the Centro de Convenciones Cartagena de Indias in Cartagena. On October 26, 2024, she traveled from Quito to Tokyo, Japan.

On November 12, 2024, Cajas will represent Ecuador at Miss International 2024 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo. She will compete against 70 other candidates including Juanita Urrea, 24, of Colombia, Valeria Villanueva, 26, of Mexico and Mei Ueda, 26, of Japan.

Currently, Ecuador has seven Miss International placements including the coronation of Maria Fernanda Cornejo Alvaro in 2011. The most recent one was in 2018 when Michelle Nathalie Huet Rodríguez finished in the Top 8.
