Rachel Silvera, 26, will represent Jamaica in the second edition of Miss Cosmo. This is the second time she is competing in an international beauty pageant as the flag bearer of the country.
Born and raised in Windsor Castle, Saint Mary, Middlesex, Jamaica, Silvera attended Immaculate Conception High School in Kingston, Jamaica from 2015 to 2019. From 2020 to 2024, she attended the University of Technology, Jamaica where she earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
Silvera is passionate about exploring the healing power of Jamaica’s native plants. Her organization Footprints Jamaica supports the development and urbanization of rural communities in the country while maintaining sustainability.
Miss Universe 2024
On September 3, 2022, Silvera competed against 19 other Miss Universe Jamaica 2022 candidates at the AC Hotel Kingston in Kingston. She was runner-up to Toshami Calvin.
On July 6, 2024, Silvera competed against 32 other Miss Universe Jamaica 2024 candidates at the AC Hotel Kingston. She won the title.
On November 16, 2024, Silvera represented Jamaica at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. She was unplaced.
Miss Cosmo 2025
On November 20, 2025, Silvera was appointed Miss Cosmo Jamaica 2025. On November 23, 2025, she and Miss Charm Jamaica 2025 Troy Ann Anderson attended the I Love Jamaica telethon and virtual concert at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston, which raised more than $65 million to support recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa, the strongest recorded hurricane to hit Jamaica.
On December 20, 2025, Silvera will represent Jamaica at Miss Cosmo 2025 at the Creative Park in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She will compete against 75 other candidates including Salma Ranggita, 22, of Indonesia, Angela Yuriar, 25, of Mexico and Hoàng Phương Linh Nguyễn, 26, of Vietnam.
The reigning Miss Cosmo 2024 is Ketut Permata Juliastrid, 22, of Indonesia. She won the title at the Saigon Riverside Park in Ho Chi Minh City on October 5, 2024.
