Nourya Aboutoihi, 25, will participate in the 74th edition of Miss Universe. She will represent Mayotte, an overseas department and region and single territorial collectivity of France.
Nourya Aboutoihi
Hailing from Mamoudzou, Mayotte, Aboutoihi attended the Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III in Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, Occitania, France. She studied biology there from September 2019 to August 2020 and geology from September 2020 to August 2021.
Aside from Mamoudzou, Aboutoihi has lived in other parts of Mayotte including Kani-Kéli. The Mahoran beauty queen is also an alumna of the Centre de Formation d’Apprentis (CFA) de la Propreté Institut Nationale de l’Hygiène et du Nettoyage Industriel (INHNI) Occitanie in Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, Occitania, France.
From October 2021 to July 2023, Aboutoihi attended the CFA Propreté INHNI Occitanie where she earned a brevet de technicien supérieur (BTS) senior technologist’s certificate in environmental sciences. From January 2024 to May 2025, she attended the same school where she earned a bachelor’s degree in management, development and quality of service companies.
Miss Excellence France 2024
On August 12, 2023, Aboutoihi competed against four other Miss Excellence Mayotte 2023 finalists in Tsingoni, Mayotte and won the title. The other finalists were Mamoudzou’s Nasra Ibrahima and Rachkati Youssouf, Kani-Kéli’s Echat Ali and Koungou, Mayotte’s Antoyta Ahmadi.
On April 27, 2024, Aboutoihi represented Mayotte at Miss Excellence France 2024 at the Centre Culturel et des Congrès 3C in Aix-les-Bains, Savoy, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France and was unplaced. She competed against 21 other candidates including Franche-Comté, France’s Manon Lassus, who won the tile.
Miss Universe 2025
On October 10, 2025, Aboutoihi was appointed Miss Universe Mayotte 2025. This makes her the first ever Miss Universe candidate from Mayotte.
On November 21, 2025, Aboutoihi will represent Mayotte at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She will compete against 138 other candidates including Eve Gilles, 22, of France, Ophély Joëlle Mézino, 26, of Guadeloupe and Célya Abatucci, 31, of Martinique.
