Cape Verde’s Prissy Gomes from Miss Supranational 2017 to Miss Universe 2025

Priscilla “Prissy” Gomes, 32, represented Cape Verde in the ninth edition of Miss Supranational and the sixth edition of Miss Grand International. She is set to represent the country in the 74th edition of Miss Universe. 

Hailing from Tarrafal, Santiago, Cape Verde, Gomes is an architect, an interior designer, an actor, a television host and a model. She is an alumna of the École spéciale d’architecture in Paris, France.

On December 1, 2017, Gomes represented Cape Verde at Miss Supranational 2017 and competed against 64 other candidates at the Hala Miejskiego Ośrodka Sportu i Rekreacji (MOSiR) in Krynica-Zdrój, Nowy Sącz County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland. She was unplaced.

On October 25, 2018, Gomes represented Cape Verde at Miss Grand International 2018 and competed against 74 other candidates at The One Entertainment Park in Yangon, Myanmar. She was unplaced.

On June 20, 2021, Gomes represented Cape Verde at World Next Top Model 2021 and competed against 27 other models at the Casino du Liban in Jounieh, Keserwan District, Lebanon. She finished in the Top 5 and was crowned World Next Top Model Africa 2021.

On June 22, 2022, Gomes represented France at World Next Top Model 2022 and competed against 24 other candidates at the Casino du Liban in Jounieh. She was runner-up to Iolanda Anamaria Babau of Romania.

In August 2025, Gomes attended the “Eojjeol Suga Eopda” red carpet and the “Il Maestro” red carpet during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival in Venice, Italy. On October 19, 2025, she was appointed Miss Universe Cape Verde 2025.

On November 21, 2025, Gomes will represent Cape Verde at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She will compete against 138 other candidates including Sarah Bou Jaoude, 20, of Lebanon, Myat Yadanar Soe, 22, of Myanmar, Oliwia Mikulska, 20, of Poland and Catalina Jacob, 28, of Romania.
