Catalina Jacob is a citizen of both Italy and Romania. She is a resident of Milan, Italy and Bacau, Romania.

Raised in Avezzano, L’Aquila, Abruzzo, Jacob moved to Milan, Italy in 2015. She studied psychology and communication in Milan.

Jacob is a professional model. She walked the runway at the Paris Fashion Week in Paris, France and attended the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France several times.

Miss Universe Italy 2024

On September 18, 2024, Jacob represented Abruzzo at Miss Universe Italy 2024  at the Villa Cafiero in San Ferdinando di Puglia, Barletta-Andria-Trani, Puglia, Italy. She competed against 44 other candidates including Glelany Cavalcante of Sicilia, who won the title.

Runner-up to Cavalcante was Giada Folcia of Lombardia and the second runner-up was Marika Nardozi of Lazio. Jacob and Rachele Perelli of Umbria finished in the Top 5.

On June 17, 2025, Jacob turned 28. On July 25, 2025, she announced her partnership with Cavalli delle Fonti, a horseback riding service in Mori, Italy.

Miss Universe Romania 2025

On October 2, 2025, Jacob competed against 26 other Miss Universe Romania 2025 candidates at OXYA Club in Bucharest, Romania and won the title. Alexandru Ciucu, Ana Maria Prodan, Ernest Hadrian Bohm, Nada Kurbe, Stefan Relu Mihalache, Supattra Auearee and Taner Temiz served as the judges.

Runner-up to Jacob was Andreea Priceputu. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Mariam Alisa Omar, Sara Ianos and Rebecca Deborah.

On November 21, 2025, Jacob will represent Romania at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She will compete against more than 120 other candidates including Brigitta Schaback, 28, of Estonia, Eve Gilles, 22, of France, Lucilla Nori, 25, of Italy, Zoulahatou Amadou, 23, of Niger, Ceren Arslan of Turkiye and Mariam Mohamed, 24, of the United Arab Emirates.
