Trinidad and Tobago will be represented in the 74th edition of Miss Universe by Latifah Shanice Morris, 31, an accountant, an entrepreneur and a model. This marks the second time she is representing the country in an international competition.
From Diego Martin, Trinidad and Tobago, Morris moved to Chaguanas East, Trinidad and Tobago. She will make history as the first mother to represent the country in Miss Universe.
Top Model of the World 2024
On July 2, 2023, Morris represented Diego Martin at Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2023 at the Queens Hall in the Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. She competed against 10 other candidates including San Fernando West’s Faith Gillezeau, who won the title.
Runner-up to Gillezeau was San Fernando’s Jen-ai Mohammed and Sangre Grande’s Dalise Lockhart was the second runner-up. Morris finished in the Top 6 and was crowned Top Model of the World Trinidad and Tobago 2024.
On May 24, 2024, Morris represented Trinidad and Tobago at Top Model of the World 2024 at Tanoak Hotel in Ain Sokhna, Suez Governorate, Egypt. She competed against 37 other candidates including Maria Katren Varzaru of Romania, who won the title.
Runner-up to Varzaru was Geysel Valliant Ferrer of Cuba and Sarah Sherwood of the United States was the second runner-up. Morris finished in the Top 6 along with Grecia Miranda of Mexico and Carolina Montoya Molina, who represented South America.
Miss Universe 2025
On July 20, 2025, Morris represented Chaguanas East at Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2025 at the Queens Hall in the Port of Spain. She competed against 13 other candidates including Dr. Sihle Letren of Diamond Vale, Diego Martin, who won the title.
Runner-up to Letren was Morris. Point Fortin’s Yolandra John was the second runner-up.
On September 10, 2025, Letren gave up the title. On September 24, 2025, Morris officially took over.
On November 21, 2025, Morris will represent Trinidad and Tobago at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She will compete against 131 other candidates including Sabrina Maged, 23, of Egypt, Lina Luaces, 22, of Cuba and Fatima Bosch, 25, of Mexico.
