Shianne Smith is Saint Lucia’s representative in the 74th edition of Miss Universe. She is the 16th beauty queen to represent the country in the international beauty pageant currently owned by JKN Global Group and Legacy Holding Group.

Hailing from Micoud, Saint Lucia, Smith is a mental health advocate currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. She cofounded Mindfield, a platform committed to making mental health resources accessible to underserved communities.

Smith was raised between Saint Lucia and New York, United States. She served as a Saint Lucian delegate to the United Nations at the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Forum.

“Whether volunteering in Indian orphanages, producing health awareness campaigns for Saint Lucian television, or teaching in prisons, I lead with heart, intellect and action,” Smith stated when she competed for the Miss Universe Saint Lucia 2025 crown. “Representing Saint Lucia on this platform is more than a dream—it is a calling to uplift our culture, amplify the voices of our youth, and boldly remind the world of the brilliance born on our island.”

On August 30, 2025, Smith represented Micoud at Miss Universe Saint Lucia 2025 at Sandals Golf and Country Club in Cap Estate, Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia. She competed against six other candidates namely Esther Destiny Tommy of Trois Piton, Leana Lewis of Dennery, Jannae Cidella Leon of Gros Islet, Michelle St. Hilaire of Dennery, Saffron Gilbert-Kaluba of Soufriere and Sasha Joseph of Castries.

Aside from winning the title, Smith also won the People’s Choice award. Dr. Coutney A. Hammonds hosted the coronation ceremony while Aiasha Tierra served as one of the judges.

Smith was crowned by Miss Universe Saint Lucia 2024 Skye Faucher of Castries. On November 16, 2024, the latter represented Saint Lucia at Miss Universe 2024, competed against 124 other candidates at the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico and was unplaced.

On November 21, 2025, Smith will represent Saint Lucia at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She will compete against more than 120 other candidates including Praveenar Singh, 29, of Thailand.
