Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters Kamaru Usman, 38, and Justin Gaethje, 36, are in the cast of “The Naked Gun“. The mixed martial artists were credited as Kamarudeen Usman and Justin Ray Gaethje, respectively.

“The Naked Gun”

Directed by Akiva Schaffer, 47, “The Naked Gun” stars Usman as Yemi “The Bull” Coker and Gaethje as Ray “Machine Gun” Morenci. Distributed by Paramount Pictures, the film will hit theaters in the United States on August 1, 2025.

Written Schaffer, Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, the film is about Los Angeles Police Squad detective Frank Drebin Jr. and a femme fatale named Beth. The characters are played by Liam Neeson, 73, and Pamela Anderson, 58, respectively.

UFC play-by-play commentator Jon Anik, 47, former UFC fighter Michael Bisping and musician Alfred Mathew “Weird Al” Yankovic, 65, appear as themselves in the film. Former UFC fighter Joseph Benavidez, 40, and UFC fighter Brandon Moreno, 31, play flyweight fighters in the film.

UFC offer Bruce Buffer, 68, plays a ring announcer. Also in the cast are Busta Rhymes, CCH Pounder, Danny Huston, Eddie Yu, Kevin Durand, Liza Koshy, Michael Beasley and Paul Walter Hauser.

Kamaru Usman

Born in Auchi, Edo, Nigeria, Usman turned 38 on May 11, 2025. He made his professional MMA debut on November 30, 2012 and his UFC debut on December 19, 2015.

On June 14, 2025, Usman defeated Joaquin Buckley, 31, of St. Louis, Missouri, USA via unanimous decision at “UFC on ESPN 69” at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. It improved the Auchi native’s professional MMA record to 21 wins and 4 losses.

Usman is 6’0″ tall. He competes in the welterweight division.

Justin Gaethje

Born in Safford, Arizona, USA, Gaethje turned 36 on November 14, 2024. He made his professional MMA debut on August 20, 2011 and his UFC debut on December 2, 2017.

On March 8, 2025, Gaethje defeated Rafael Fiziev, 32, of Azerbaijan via unanimous decision at “UFC 313” at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, USA. It improved the Safford native’s professional MMA record to 26 wins and 5 losses.

Gaethje is 5’11” tall. He competes in the lightweight division.
