Julia Ann Cluett, 27, of Floriana, Malta won the ninth edition of Miss Universe Malta. She was the first runner-up of the seventh edition of the same competition.

Third runner-up to Cluett was Karly May Naudi of Sliema, Malta. The latter made history as the first transwoman to compete in Miss Universe Malta.

Alan J. Darmanin has been the national director of Miss Universe Malta since 2016. Malta was represented in Miss Universe by Martha Fenech in 2016, Tiffany Pisani in 2017, Francesca Mifsud in 2018, Teresa Rugio in 2019, Anthea Zammit in 2020, Jade Cini in 2021, Maxine Formosa in 2022, Ella Portelli in 2023 and Bèatrice Eliane Apuaghue Njoya in 2024.

On November 21, 2025, Cluett will represent Malta at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She will compete against more than 120 other candidates including Hanin Al Qoreishy, 27, of Iraq.

Francesca Attard , Claire Agius Ordway and Anthea Bonnici Zammit hosted the Miss Universe Malta 2025 coronation ceremony at The Hilton Malta Conference Centre in St. Julian’s, Malta on July 3, 2025. The show featured performances by Brooke Borg, Kantera and Sarah Bonnici.

Former Miss Universe Malta titleholders Jade Cini, Jolene Arpa, Rita Montebello and Sylvana Sammut Pandolfino served as judges. They were joined by Charlene Scicluna, Davinia Dingli, Dr. Ehsan Abdi, Dr. Rafael Fernandez, Michelle Muscat, Oliver Scicluna, Ramiro Barrio and Stephanie Spiteri.
