Born in Havana, Cuba, Rosangela Rizo speaks English and Spanish. She is 5’8″ tall and she is passionate about dancing and modeling.
In August 2020, Rizo obtained a pre-law certification from Florida International University in University Park, Florida, United States. She graduated from the university with a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations.
Miss Universe Cuba 2024
On September 26, 2024, Rizo represented Region Occidente at Miss Universe Cuba 2024 in Miami, Florida. She competed against 23 other candidates including Marianela Ancheta, who won the title.
Runner-up to Ancheta was Alina Robert and the second runner-up was Maylin Hernandez. Rizo was unplaced.
Aylin Mujica and William Valdes hosted the coronation ceremony. The judges were Alexander Gonzalez, Aymee Nuviola, Carlos Herrera, Claudia Borges, Dr. Elio Galan, Eduardo Antonio, Greidys Gil, Mario Campos and Tenay Rodriguez.
Miss Intercontinental 2024
On November 4, 2024, Rizo was officially appointed Miss Intercontinental Cuba 2024. On December 6, 2024, she represented Cuba at Miss Intercontinental 2024 at the Tal Avenue in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt where she competed against 58 other candidates including Maria Cepero of Puerto Rico, who won the title.
Runner-up to Cepero was Georgette Musrie Efesia of Venezuela. Alyssa Redondo of the Philippines was second runner-up.
Bùi Khánh Linh of Vietnam, Celina Weil of Germany, Kenyatta Beazer of the United States and Amanda Peresu of Zimbabwe were the respective third, fourth, fifth and sixth runners-up. Rizo finished in the Top 22.
Miss International 2025
On March 30, 2025, Rizo turned 27. On April 5, 2025, she was officially appointed Miss International Cuba 2025.
On November 27, 2025, Rizo will represent Cuba at Miss International 2025. She will compete against more than 70 other candidates in Tokyo, Japan.
Representing Japan is Ai Nozaki, 22. Also vying for the title are Daiana Pereyra, 26, of Argentina, Catalina Duque, 25, of Colombia, Eunice Rivadeneira, 25, of Ecuador, Irma Handal, 21, of Honduras, Veronica Iglesias, 26, of Nicaragua and Alessandra Guillen, 27, of Venezuela.
