Quishantely “Shanty” Leito, 22, is a resident of Willemstad, Curacao and Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands. She is set to compete in an international beauty pageant again.
Leito is an entrepreneur and a social worker. From July 2012 to July 2019, she attended Thorbecke Voortgezet Onderwijs in Rotterdam.
From August 2019 to July 2020, Leito studied law and jurisprudence at De Haagse Hogeschool in the Hague, Netherlands. From August 2020 to July 2024, she attended the Inholland University of Applied Sciences in the Hague where she earned her bachelor’s degree in social work.
Miss Teenager Universe 2019
On August 31, 2019, Leito competed against three other Miss Teen of the Netherlands 2018 candidates at Studio 21 in Hilversum, North Holland, Netherlands and won the title. One of the judges was Lotte van der Zee, who won Miss Teenager Universe 2017 in Guatemala in August 2017.
Born in Enschede, Overijssel, Netherlands, van der Zee suffered cardiac arrest while skiing in Austria on February 20, 2019. She turned 20 on February 21, 2019 and died at a hospital in Munich, Germany on March 6, 2019.
On August 10, 2019, Leito represented the Netherlands at Miss Teenager Universe 2019 and competed against 25 other candidates at Salon Azaria Cayala in Guatemala City, Guatemala. She won the title.
Runner-up to Leito was Maria K. Vilches of Cuba. Also crowned were Miss Teenager World 2019 Paola Blanco of Panama, Miss Teenager International 2019 Rocio Rojas of Chile, Miss Teenager Grand 2019 Estefania Amezola of Mexico, Miss Teenager Earth 2019 Juliana Ramos of Colombia and Miss Teenager Continents 2019 Sasha Miller of the Bahamas.
Miss Supranational 2025
On July 6, 2024, Harashta Haifa Zahra of Indonesia won Miss Supranational 2024 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Malopolska, Poland. She competed against 67 other candidates including Chanelle de Lau of Curacao and Bo Grooten of the Netherlands.
Grooten was unplaced while de Lau was fourth runner-up to Zahra. The respective first, second and third runner-up were Jenna Dykstra of the United States, Justyna Zednikova of the Czech Republic and Isadora Murta of Brazil.
On February 24, 2025, Leito was officially appointed Miss Supranational Curacao 2025. On March 3, 2025, she met Zahra in Curacao.
On June 27, 2025, Zahra will go back to Nowy Savz to crown her successor. Representing Curacao, Leito is expected to compete for the title against more than 70 other candidates.
