Zambia’s Kunda Mwamulima from Miss Earth 2023 to Miss Universe 2025

Kunda Mwamulima, 29, of Kalulushi, Copperbelt Province, Zambia is set to represent her country in an international beauty pageant again. Aside from being a beauty queen, she is also a nurse and a model.

Among Mwamulima’s first beauty pageant titles are Miss Culture Zambia 2020 and Miss University Africa Zambia 2021. She received her diploma in nursing from Levy Mwanawasa Medical University in Lusaka, Zambia.

On December 19, 2021, Mwamulima represented Zambia at Miss University Africa 2021 and competed against 44 other candidates at the Chida International Hotel Jabi in Abuja, Nigeria. She was unplaced.

On March 2, 2023, Mwamulima represented Zambia at Top Model of the World 2023 and competed against 42 other candidates at the Sunrise White Hills Resort in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. She finished in the Top 16.

On December 22, 2023, Mwamulima represented Zambia at Miss Earth 2023 at the Vạn Phúc City Water Music Square in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She competed against 84 other candidates including Drita Ziri of Albania, who won the title.

Runner-up to Ziri was Yllana Marie Aduana of the Philippines, who was crowned Miss Earth-Air 2023. The respective second and third runners-up were Miss Earth-Water Do Thi Lan Anh of Vietnam and Miss Earh-Fire 2023 Cora Bliault of Thailand.

Mwamulima was unplaced. The African candidate with the highest placement was Belinde Schreuder of South Africa, who finished in the Top 12.

On April 20, 2025, Mwamulima represented Kalulushi at Miss Universe Zambia 2025 and competed against 19 other candidates at the Mulungushi International Conference Center in Lusaka. She won the title.

It was Melba Shakabozha who crowned Mwamulima instead of Brandina Lubuli. Representing Zambia, Shakabozha and Lubuli were unplaced at Miss Universe 2018 and Miss Universe 2024, respectively.

On November 21, 2025, Mwamulima will represent Zambia at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Arena in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She will compete against 129 other candidates including Maria Cunha, 22, of Angola.

This is the 74th edition of Miss Universe. Mwamulima is the 11th beauty queen to represent Zambia in the international beauty pageant currently owned by JKN Global in Thailand and Legacy Holding Group in Mexico.
