Theresia Mah Awagea, 24, is set to represent Cameroon in another international beauty pageant. She is currently studying human resources at AP Hogeschool Antwerpen in Antwerp, Belgium.
Awagea is the first beauty queen from Cameroon to place in The Miss Globe. She will be the third beauty queen to represent Cameroon in Miss Grand International.
The Miss Globe 2024
On July 20, 2024, Awagea competed against nine other Ann Gela Mode Top Model 2024 finalists at the Mountain Hotel in Buea. It was Vebuh Gracious Nkwain who won the title.
In the same competition, Awagea was crowned The Miss Globe Cameroon 2024. Also crowned was Miss Cultural Africa 2024 Poufong Veronique.
On October 15, 2024, Awagea represented Cameroon at The Miss Globe 2024 at the Tirana Olympic Park in Tirana, Albania. She competed against 42 other candidates including Diana Moreno of Colombia, who won the title.
Runner-up to Moreno was Prada Dilhokanansakul of Thailand. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Jasmin Bungay of the Philippines, Andromeda Schuster of Germany and Do Ha Trang of Vietnam.
Awagea finished in the Top 16 and so did Maxine Van Belleghem of Belgium and Klea Llagonia of Albania. The Cameroonian beauty queen was the only African candidate who placed.
Miss Grand International 2025
On March 30, 2025, Awagea competed against 12 other Miss Face of Cameroon 2025 candidates at the Chariot Hotel Buea in Buea. She won the title.
Runner-up to Awagea was Gracia Mpoula. The second runner-up was Silatchom Anna Matta.
As the winner, Awagea was appointed Miss Grand Cameroon 2025. She will represent the country in the 13th edition of Miss Grand International.
Including Awagea, more than 70 women will compete for the Miss Grand International 2025 title at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand on October 18, 2025. Among her fellow candidates from Africa are Magdalene Takangiro, 24, of Kenya and Anna Musonda, 27, of Zambia.
