Warrap’s Ayom Tito Mathiech is Miss World Sudan 2025

Ayom Tito Mathiech of Gogrial East County, Warrap, Bahr el Ghazal, South Sudan will compete in an international beauty pageant soon. She is a peace advocate.

Including Warrap, South Sudan has 10 states. The others are Central Equatoria, Eastern Equatoria, Jonglei, Lakes, Northern Bahr el Ghazal, Unity, Upper Nile, Western Bahr el Ghazal and Western Equatoria.

Miss World South Sudan 2025

On April 5, 2025, Ayom represented Warrap at Miss World South Sudan 2025. She competed against 23 other candidates at the Freedom Hall in Juba, South Sudan.

At the end of the ceremony, Ayom emerged as the victor. She was crowned by Arek Abraham Albino.

Runner-up to Ayom was Rose Roba Abel of Central Equatoria. The respective second and third runners-up were Adit Susan Kuany of Jonglei and Corita Reagan of Unity.

“This title isn’t just a crown for me,” Ayom stated after her Miss World South Sudan 2025 coronation. “It’s a responsibility. I believe in peace, not just as an idea, but as something we can work towards.”

“Through my advocacy, I’ll continue pushing for unity, healing and opportunity for our youth,” Ayom continued. “Peace starts in how we treat each other, how we listen, how we show up and I’m ready to show up.”

Miss World 2025

On May 31, 2025, Ayom will represent South Sudan at Miss World 2025 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. She is expected to compete against more than 100 other candidates.

“I’m so excited to represent South Sudan on the global stage at Miss World in India this May,” Ayom stated. “I can’t wait to meet queens from around the world, learn from their stories and share mine. This is the beginning of something beautiful.”

Representing India in the competition is Nandini Gupta. Among Ayom’s fellow African candidates are Nuria Assis of Angola, Anicia Gaothusi of Botswana, Fatoumata Coulibaly of Cote d’Ivoire, Grace Neema Ramtu and Joy Raimi Mojisola of Nigeria.

Currently, South Sudan has four Miss World placements. The most recent one was in the 2023 edition when Albino finished in the Top 40.

When the country made its Miss World debut in 2012, its representative Atong Dematch finished in the Top 7, won the Miss World Top Model award and was crowned Miss World Africa 2012. Also representing the country in the international beauty pageant, Awien Kuanyin-Agoth finished in the Top 25 in 2014 and Ajaa Kiir Monchol finished in the Top 20 in 2015.
