South African-Kiwi digital content creator and model Samantha Poole, 22, is set to represent New Zealand in an international beauty pageant again. Based in Whangārei, Northland Region, New Zealand, she is originally from Pretoria, South Africa.
Poole is Denise Poole‘s daughter and Alistair Poole‘s sister. In 2018, they moved from South Africa to New Zealand.
On June 18, 2023, Samantha competed against 10 other Miss Auckland 2023 candidates. She finished in the Top 5.
On May 5, 2024, Samantha competed against 11 other Miss New Zealand 2024 candidates at the Bruce Mason Centre at Takapuna Beach in Auckland, New Zealand. She won the title.
Miss International 2024
On November 12, 2024, Samantha represented New Zealand at Miss International 2024 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. She competed against 70 other candidates including Vietnam’s Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy, who won the title.
Runner-up to Huynh was Camila Roca of Bolivia. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Alba Perez of Spain, Sakra Guerrero of Venezuela and Sophie Kirana of Indonesia.
Samantha finished in the Top 8 along with Alina Dementjeva of Czech Republic and Ewa Jakubiec of Poland. Samantha’s fellow Oceanian candidate Selina McCloskey of Australia finished in the Top 20.
Miss World 2025
On April 15, 2025, Samantha was officially appointed Miss World New Zealand 2025. On May 31, 2025, she will represent New Zealand at Miss World 2025 and compete against 100 other candidates in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
Also competing for the title is Zoalise Jansen van Rensburg, 19, of South Africa. Oceania will be represented not only by Samantha but also by Jasmine Stringer, 27, of Australia.
