Kaue Fernandes
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s Kaue Fernandes, 30, has earned his second Ultimate Fighting Championship victory. He was one of the “UFC Fight Night 255” winners.
Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, the UFC held the mixed martial arts event at The O2 Arena in London, England, United Kingdom. There were 14 matches on the card.
The first one was a lightweight bout between Fernandes and “Georgian Viking” Guram Kutateladze, 33, of Tbilisi, Georgia. Jason Herzog served as the referee.
After three five-minute rounds, Herzog raised the hand of Fernandes. The Brazilian MMA fighter won via unanimous decision.
The victory improved Fernandes’s professional MMA record to 10 wins and 2 losses. He lost to Marc Diakiese via split decision at “UFC Fight Night 231” on November 4, 2023 before beating Mohammad Yahya via technical knockout at “UFC on ABC 7” on August 3, 2024.
Guram Kutateladze
When Kutateladze made his professional MMA debut on May 15, 2010, he submitted his fellow Georgian fighter Dimitri Izoria via armbar. After going on hiatus from 2011 to 2012, Kutateladze defeated two opponents in 2013 namely Erik Friberg and Jonathan Svensson.
Before joining the UFC, Kutateladze defeated two BRAVE Combat Federation opponents namely Erick da Silva and Felipe Silva. When Kutateladze made his UFC debut on October 17, 2020, he defeated Mateusz Gamrot via split decision.
Losing to Fernandes at “UFC Fight Night 255” downgraded Kutateladze’s professional MMA record to 13 wins and 5 losses. The Georgian athlete now has 2 wins and 3 losses in the UFC.
