Luke Stanton Eddy from ‘Ambush’ to ‘The Alto Knights’ to ‘June and John’

Actor and filmmaker Luke Stanton Eddy has been acting professionally since 2015. He wrote the short films “You and Yours” and “Midnight Uglies”.

Eddy directed the film “For Elara”, which stars Jorge Franco IV and Thalia Besson. Franco and Eddy co-wrote the screenplay.

Eddy played Wills in “Ambush”, a film about young elite commandos tasked with collecting highly classified information that can change the fate of the war. The group is led by Captain Drummond played by Aaron Eckhart.

Directed by Mark Burman, the film was shot in Colombia. He co-wrote the screenplay with Michael McClung and Johnny Lozano, who is also in the cast.

The film was released in the United States on February 24, 2023. Among Eddy, Eckhart and Lozano’s co-stars were Buidanbaatar Dashdejid, Chi Mancho, Connor Paolo, Gregory Sims, Jaime Lopez, Jeff Caperton, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Jordan Johnson-Hinds, Kim Ngoc, Mac Brandt, Matte Martinez, Nick Heyman, Patrick Walker and Simon Beltran Echeverri.

Written by Nicholas Pileggi and directed by Barry Levinson, “The Alto Knights” stars Robert De Niro as Vito Genovese and Frank Costello. Antonio Cipriano plays the young Vito while Eddy plays the young Frank.

Frank’s wife Bobbie Costello is played by Debra Messing. Michael Rispoli‘s character Albert Anastasia is a close ally of Frank.

Warner Bros. Pictures released “The Alto Knights” in the U.S. on March 21, 2025. Joining De Niro, Cipriano, Eddy, Messing and Rispoli in the cast are Anthony J. Gallo as Tommy Lucchese, Brian Scolaro as Paul Castellano, Cosmo Jarvis as Vincent Gigante, Ed Amatrudo as Rudolph Halley, Frank Piccirillo as Richie Boiardo, James Ciccone as Carlo Gambino, Joe Bacino as Joe Profaci, Kathrine Narducci as Anna Genovese, Louis Mustillo as Joe Bonanno, Matt Servitto as George Wolf, Mike Seely as Trooper Crosswell, Robert Uricola as Tony Bender and Wallace Langham as Senator Estes Kefauver.

De Niro is 5’9″ tall. Eddy is 5’8″ tall.

Written and directed by Luc Besson, “June and John” will be released in France. Eddy and Matilda Price play the title characters.

John leads an ordinary life with a monotonous routine until he runs into June on the subway. The encounter leads him to have a goal in life, which is to love her forever and unconditionally.

The film was shot in Los Angeles, California, USA in 2020 amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Eddy and Price’s co-stars include Allie Stanzione, Andrew Arnett, Ayanna S. Flemings, Brandon Delsid, Christopher Cano, Claire Montgomery, Dean Testerman, Don Scribner, Filippo Becciani, Honey Lauren, Marceline Orallo, Myles Cranford, Ronald Joseph Miller, Ryan Shoos, Sean Zerbe and Sherry Mattson.
