Eva Jacqueline Longoria Bastón and José Antonio “Pepe” Bastón Patiño got married in Mexico on May 21, 2016. They have one son who was born in 2018.

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, United States to Tejano parents Enrique Longoria Jr. and Ella Eva Mireles, Eva has three sisters including Liza Longoria, who was born with a disability. In March 1998, Eva won Miss Corpus Christi USA 1998 while she was attending Texas A&M University–Kingsville (TAMUK) in Kingsville, Texas.

Eva also won Miss TAMUK 1996. She graduated from TAMUK with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.

From 2004 to 2012, Eva played Gabrielle Solis in the ABC series “Desperate Housewives”. On May 22, 2013, she graduated from California State University, Northridge in Northridge, Los Angeles, California, USA with a master’s degree in Chicano studies.

On March 15, 2025, Eva turned 50. On March 28, 2025, the family road comedy film “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip” will be released on Disney+.

Written by Matt Lopez and directed by Marvin Lemus, the film is about a Hispanic American family’s road trip that goes hilariously wrong. The family is of Colombian and Mexican heritage.

Shot in New Mexico, USA, the film stars Eva as Val Garcia, Alexander Alayon Jr. as Alejandro Garcia, Cheech Marin as Gil Garcia, Jesse Garcia as Frank Garcia, Paulina Chavez as Mia Garcia, Rose Portillo as Lidia Garcia and Thom Nemer as Alexander Garcia along with Angela L. Wilson as Cassandra, Carl Savering as Joel, Cristo Fernandez as Chavo, Harvey Guillen as Claudio and Jacqueline Torres as Mayor Menendez. Also in the cast are Alejandro Rodriguez as a teen at a gas station, Eulalio Jeffrey Salgado as an old Mexican man and Alicia Lueras Maldonado as a curator and Mario Telles as museum curators.

Marin was born in Los Angeles to Mexican parents while Jesse was born in Rawlins, Wyoming, USA to a Mexican father and a Spanish-Mexican mother. Born in El Paso to Mexican parents, Chavez grew up in San Antonio, Texas.
