“Mascote” André Luis Lima Cardoso, 26, of Guarulhos, São Paulo, Brazil is still an undefeated mixed martial artist. He was one of the “UFC Vegas 104” winners.
Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, the Ultimate Fighting Championship held “UFC Vegas 104” at the UFC Apex in Enterprise, Nevada on March 15, 2025. Featuring 13 MMA matches, the event is also known as “UFC Fight Night 254” and “UFC on ESPN+ 112“.
In the third bout of the evening, Lima fought Daniel Barez, 36, of Burjassot, Horta Nord, Valencia, Spain in the flyweight division. Kerry Hatley served as the referee.
After 3 minutes and 5 seconds in the third round, Hatley stopped the flyweight contest. Lima submitted Barez via rear-naked choke.
The loss downgraded Barez’s professional MMA record to 17 wins and 7 losses. He made his UFC debut on July 22, 2023.
Barez is 5’6″ tall. Lima is 5’7″ tall.
“UFC Vegas 104”
Winning at “UFC Vegas 104” improved Lima’s professional MMA record to 11 wins and 0 loss. This marks the Brazilian MMA fighter’s fourth UFC win.
Before facing Barez, Lima defeated three UFC opponents namely Igor da Silva, Mitch Raposo and Felipe dos Santos. When Lima made his promotional debut at “UFC on ESPN 53” in Enterprise on March 23, 2024, he defeated da Silva, who was disqualified due to biting.
On June 1, 2024, Lima defeated Raposo via split decision at “UFC 302” in Newark, New Jersey, USA. On September 7, 2024, the former defeated dos Santos via unanimous decision at “UFC Fight Night 242” in Enterprise.
