Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir, 20, of Reykjavik, Iceland has competed in two of the six grand slam international beauty pageants for women. She was a teenager when she won Ungfrú Ísland, a national beauty pageant that selects Iceland’s Miss Universe, Miss Earth and Miss Supranational candidates.
Ungfrú Ísland 2022
On August 24, 2022, Haraldsdóttir represented East Reykjavik at Ungfrú Ísland 2022 and competed against 15 other candidates at Gamla Bíó in Reykjavik, Iceland. She won the title.
Runner-up to Haraldsdóttir was Isabella Þorvaldsdóttir of Northern Lights, who was crowned Miss Supranational Iceland 2023. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Alexandra Andreyeva Tomasdottir of Northern Iceland, Þorbjörg Kristinsdottir of Grafarholt and Elva Björk Jónsdóttir of Gullfoss.
On July 14, 2023, Þorvaldsdóttir represented Iceland at Miss Supranational 2023 and competed against 64 other candidates at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland. She was unplaced.

Miss Universe 2022
On October 1, 2022, Haraldsdóttir attended the Miss Teen USA 2022 coronation night at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, United States where she met Miss Universe Canada 2022 Amelia Tu. On October 3, 2022, the two went to the same venue to attend the coronation ceremony of Miss USA 2022, which was won by R’Bonney Gabriel.
On January 14, 2023, Haraldsdóttir represented Iceland at Miss Universe 2022 and competed against 83 other candidates at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Gabriel won the title, Tu finished in the Top 16 and Haraldsdóttir was unplaced.
On July 18, 2023, Haraldsdóttir, Gabriel and their fellow Miss Universe 2022 alumni Divita Rai, Evlin Khalifa, Monique Riley, Anna Sueangam-iam and Ndavi Nokeri attended the launch of Miss Universe’s line of beverages at IconSiam in Bangkok, Thailand. On August 16, 2023, Haraldsdóttir went back to Gamla Bíó to crown her successor Ungfrú Ísland 2023 Lilja Sif Pétursdóttir, who was unplaced at Miss Universe 2023 on November 18, 2023.
Miss Earth 2024
In February 2024, Haraldsdóttir underwent a modeling training at Coco Rocha Model Camp in New York City, New York, USA. On April 7, 2024, she turned 20.
On July 3, 2024, Haraldsdóttir was officially appointed Miss Earth Iceland 2024. On October 18, 2024, she traveled from Iceland to Metro Manila, Philippines.
On November 9, 2024, Haraldsdóttir represented Iceland at Miss Earth 2024 and competed against 80 other candidates at the Okada Manila in Parañaque, Metro Manila. Jessica Lane, 21, of Australia won the title.
As runner-up to Lane, Haraldsdóttir was crowned Miss Earth-Air 2024. The respective second and third runners-up were Miss Earth-Water 2024 Bea Millan-Windorski, 21, of U.S. and Miss Earth-Fire 2024 Niva Antezana, 20, of Peru.
