Anouk Stephanie Helen Eman was born and raised in Oranjestad, Aruba. As a synchronized swimming duo, she and Kyra Hoevertsz represented Aruba in the Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA) World Championships in Spain in 2013 and in Russia in 2015.
Eman earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, United States. She represented Aruba in Miss World and Miss International before representing the country in Miss Universe.
On April 4, 2024, Eman turned 32. She is 5’6″ tall.
Miss World 2017
On July 4, 2017, Eman was officially appointed Miss World Aruba 2017. On November 18, 2017, she represented Aruba at Miss World 2017 at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China
Eman competed against 117 other candidates including Polina Popova of Russia and Elusa Tulian of Spain. Manushi Chhillar of India won the title while Andrea Meza of Mexico and Stephanie Hill of England were the respective first and second runners-up.
Both Eman and Tulian were unplaced. Popova finished in the Top 10.
FINA World Championships
On July 20, 2013, Eman finished 26th in women solo technical at the 15th FINA World Championships in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. On July 23, 2013, she and Hoevertsz finished 24th in women duet free at the same tournament.
On July 28, 2015, Eman and Hoevertsz finished 27th in women duet free at the 16th FINA World Championships in Kazan, Russia. On March 3, 2016, they finished 20th in women duet free at the 17th FINA Olympic Games synchronized swimming qualification tournament in Brazil in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Miss International 2018
On September 6, 2018, Eman was appointed Miss International Aruba 2018. On November 9, 2018, she represented Aruba at Miss International 2018 and competed against 76 other candidates at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Mariem Velazco of Venezuela won the title. Eman was unplaced.
Runner-up to Velazco was Ahtisa Manalo of the Philippines. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Reabetswe Sechoaro of South Africa, Bianca Tirsin of Romania and Anabella Castro of Colombia.
Miss Universe 2024
On August 10, 2024, Eman competed against five other Miss Universe Aruba 2024 finalists in the grand ballroom of the Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino in Noord, Aruba. She won the title and was crowned by Aruba ministers Ursell Arends and Xiomara Maduro.
Runner-up to Eman was Giulia Brezovar. The other finalists were Irviljen Hato, Marie Sonise Elliasaint, Naomi Croes and Sasha Williams.
On October 27, 2024, Eman traveled from Aruba to Mexico. On November 16, 2024, she will represent Aruba at Miss Universe 2024 and compete against 129 other candidates at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.
