Rabat, Morocco’s Ismail Naurdiev decisions Bruno Silva at ‘UFC 308’ in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Ismail “The Austrian WonderboyNaurdiev, 28, has earned his third win in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Fighting out of Rabat, Morocco, he has fought five bouts in the mixed martial arts promotion based in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

Born in Grozny, Chechnya, Russia, Naurdiev moved to Salzburg, Austria in 2004 with his family. He fought in the UFC from 2019 to 2020 and in BRAVE Combat Federation from 2021 to 2023.

On October 26, 2024, Naurdiev made his UFC comeback at “UFC 308” at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on October 26, 2024. He fought Bruno “Blindado” Silva, 35, of Cajazeiras, Paraiba, Brazil.

Naurdiev and Silva battled it out in the middleweight division. It was the second among the 13 bouts on the card.

Mark Smith served as the referee. After three five-minute rounds, he raised the hand of Naurdiev, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

The loss downgraded Silva’s professional MMA record to 23 wins and 12 losses. He is now riding a four-bout losing streak.

On the other hand, Naurdiev now has 24 wins and 7 losses. When he made his UFC debut at “UFC Fight Night 145” in Prague, Czech Republic on February 23, 2019, he defeated Michel Prazeres of Belem, Para, Brazil via unanimous decision.

On July 6, 2019, Naurdiev lost to Chance Rencountre of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, USA via unanimous decision at “UFC 239” in Paradise, Nevada. The Russian-Austrian MMA fighter defeated Siyar Bahadurzada of Kabul, Afghanistan via unanimous decision at “UFC Fight Night 160” in Copenhagen, Denmark on September 28, 2019 and lost to Sean Brady of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA via unanimous decision at “UFC Fight Night 169” in Norfolk, Virginia, USA on February 29, 2020.
