London, England’s Farid Basharat decisions Victor Hugo at ‘UFC 308’ in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Farid Basharat, 27, of London, England, United Kingdom won all of his four bouts in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Training at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, the Afghan-English mixed martial artist is still undefeated.

On March 4, 2023, Basharat made his UFC debut. The first three opponents he defeated in the Las Vegas-based MMA promotion are Da’Mon “Da Monster” Blackshear, 30, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA, Kleydson “K.R.” Rodrigues, 29, of Laranjal do Jai, Amapa, Brazil and Taylor “Double Impact” Lapilus, 32, of Paris, France.

Victor “Striker” Hugo, 31, of Goiania, Goias, Brazil fought Basharat at “UFC 308” at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on October 26, 2024. It was the third among the 13 bouts on the card.

Hugo and Basharat battled it out in the featherweight division. Kerry Hatley served as the referee.

After three five-minute rounds, Hatley raised the hand of Basharat, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision. The loss downgraded Hugo’s professional MMA record to 25 wins and 5 losses.

“UFC 308” marked Hugo’s second UFC fight. When he made his promotional debut on April 6, 2024 at “UFC Fight Night 240” in Enterprise, Nevada, he defeated Pedro Falcao of Porto Velho, Rondonia, Brazil via unanimous decision.

Beating Hugo improved Basharat’s professional MMA record to 13 wins and 0 loss. When the Afghan-English MMA fighter made his UFC debut at “UFC 285” in Paradise, Nevada on March 4, 2023, he defeated Blackshear via unanimous decision.

On September 2, 2023, Basharat submitted Rodrigues at “UFC Fight Night 226” in Paris, France. On January 13, 2024, the former defeated Lapilus via unanimous decision at “UFC Vegas 84” in Enterprise.
