Naja Mathilde Rosing, 26, of Nuuk, Greenland is the first ever Miss Grand International candidate representing Greenland, which is one of the two autonomous territories of Denmark. She previously lived in Copenhagen, Denmark and Frederiksberg, Denmark.
Rosing’s stepfather is from Sudan. She was born to a Greenlandic father and a Danish mother.
Miss Danmark 2023
On August 27, 2023, Rosing represented Frederiksberg at Miss Danmark 2023 at the Cirkusbygningen in Copenhagen, Denmark. She and 29 other candidates competed for two title.
Nikoline Uhrenholt Hansen of Valby was crowned Miss Danmark 2023, which made her Denmark’s Miss Universe 2023 candidate. In second place was Hovedstaden’s Silvia Ooi Topholm, who was crowned Miss Earth Denmark 2023.
Ishøj’s Fatmagül Karabacak ranked third and was named the first runner-up. Rosing was second runner-up and the respective third and fourth runners-up were Ishøj’s Julie Brink and Næstved’s Sille Albertsen.
Miss Intercontinental 2023
On September 13, 2023, Rosing was appointed Miss Intercontinental Denmark 2023. On December 15, 2023, she represented Denmark at Miss Intercontinental 2023 and competed against 63 other candidates at Sunrise Remal Resort in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
Thailand’s Chatnalin Chotjirawarachat won the title. Mexico’s Cristina Villegas Murillo was the first runner-up.
Vietnam’s Lê Nguyễn Ngọc Hằng, Serbia’s Sara Damnjanovic, Colombia’s Marelis Salas Julio, Russia’s Dariia Reshta and Sierra Leone’s Christiana Sia Johnson were the respective second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth runners-up. Rosing finished in the Top 22.
Miss Grand International 2024
On September 20, 2024, Rosing was officially appointed Miss Grand Greenland 2024. On October 25, 2024, she will represent Greenland at Miss Grand International 2024 at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand.
Rosing will compete against 68 other candidates including Cecilia Presmann, 23, who is representing Denmark. The latter finished in the Top 15 at Miss Danmark 2024 at the Cirkusbygningen in Copenhagen on September 1, 2024.
From 69 Miss Grand International 2024 candidates, 20 will be selected as the semifinalists. From this group, the judges will select five fifth runners-up, the first, second, third and fourth runners-up and the winner.
