Nadine Roberts’ stardom from Miss Earth Australia 2013 to Miss Universe Fiji 2024

Nadine Roberts of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia is of Fijian descent. She is married to an Australian businessman named Jamie McIntyre.

In March 2013, McIntyre founded an Australian political party called the 21st Century Australia party. Based in Gold Coast, Australia, the party was dissolved on June 6, 2018.

On October 12, 2013, Roberts competed against 10 other Miss Earth Australia 2013 candidates at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. She ranked second and was crowned Miss Earth Australia-Air 2013.

On September 14, 2014, Roberts and 11 other candidates competed at the Sydney Town Hall in Sydney for the Miss Earth Australia 2014 title, which was won by Dayanna Grageda. Roberts ranked fourth and was crowned Miss Earth Australia-Fire 2014.

On October 9, 2014, Grageda was dethroned under questionable circumstances and the title was given to Roberts. Representing Australia, Roberts was unplaced when she competed against 83 other Miss Earth 2014 candidates at the UP Theater of the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

On April 5, 2015, Roberts represented Australia at Miss Eco Queen 2015 and competed against eight other candidates at the Hilton Alexandria Green Plaza in Alexandria, Egypt. She was second runner-up to Patricia Peklar of Slovenia.

On December 5, 2015, Grageda represented Australia at Miss Earth 2015 and competed against 85 other candidates at the Marx Halle in Vienna, Australia. She was runner-up to Angelia Ong and was crowned Miss Earth-Air 2015.

On October 17, 2016, His Honour Justice Bromwich delivered a decision declaring that land banking developments operated by McIntyre and his brother Dennis McIntyre were unregistered managed investment schemes. The Federal Court disqualified the brothers from managing corporations and restrained them from carrying on financial services for a period of 10 years each.

On October 25, 2017, Roberts represented Fiji at Miss Grand International 2017 and competed against 76 other candidates at the Vinpearl Convention Center in Phú Quốc, Vietnam. She was unplaced.

On March 8, 2020, Jamie and Roberts got engaged. On August 25, 2020, luxury goods buyer Alejandro Mendieta Blanco was sentenced to four months in jail for receiving stolen gold jewelry and a Louis Vuitton handbag. 

In February 2022, a company called Boat Swap Syndicate was deregistered. Roberts and Blanco were listed as shareholders.

In May 2022, Jamie and Roberts got married. That month, a company called Boat Syndicate was registered in Roberts’ name and Blanco was listed as the company’s co-director. 

On August 20, 2024, Roberts turned 30. On August 30, 2024, she competed against eight other finalists competed at The Pearl Resort and Spa in Pacific Harbour, Central Division, Viti Levu, Fiji for the Miss Universe Fiji 2024 title, which was won by Manshika Prasad, 24.

Roberts and Susana Ranadi, 23, were runners-up to Prasad. On September 2, 2024, Roberts was crowned Miss Universe Fiji 2024 after Prasad was dethroned amid allegations that Miss Universe Fiji marketing, events and sponsorship director Grant Dwyer rigged the results of the beauty pageant.

On September 6, 2024, Roberts was dethroned as Miss Universe Fiji 2024 and the title was given back to Prasad. On October 14, 2024, the Miss Universe organization released a statement to confirm that Fiji’s official Miss Universe 2024 candidate is Prasad and not Roberts.

While married to Roberts, McIntyre was closely associated with Fiji’s Miss Universe license holder Lux Projects. The company was represented by Riri Febriani as one of the seven Miss Universe Fiji 2024 judges.
