Panpayak Jitmuangnon vs Silviu Vitez
On October 18, 2024, ONE Championship held “ONE Friday Fights 83” at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok. There were 11 Muay Thai matches on the card.
The sixth match was a flyweight contest between Jitmuangnon and Silviu Vitez, 29, of Noia, Spain. The Thai fighter is 5’9″ tall while his Spanish opponent is 5’7″ tall.
After three 3-minute rounds, the fight was left in the hands of the judges. The referee raised the hand of Jitmuangnon, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
Vitez is now riding a three-bout losing streak. Losing to Jitmuangnon downgraded the Spanish athlete’s professional Muay Thai record to 50 wins, 14 losses and 3 draws.
“ONE Friday Fights 83” marked Jitmuangnon’s fifth ONE Championship bout. The first four were at “ONE: Destiny of Champions” in Malaysia in 2018, “ONE: Immortal Triumph” in Vietnam in 2019, “ONE: No Surrender” in Bangkok in 2020 and “ONE: NextGen III” in Singapore in 2021.
As a Muay Thai fighter, Jitmuangnon started training in 2004. He was born Taewan Seangngen in Samut Prakarn, Thailand.
