John Sathguru, 29, of Singapore will compete for the Mister World 2024 crown. He previously competed in Mister World Singapore and Mister Global.
Sathguru is of Indian descent and he speaks English and Tamil. He is 6’1″ tall.
From 2015 to 2018, Sathguru attended Singapore Polytechnic in Dover, Queenstown, Singapore where he earned a diploma in electronic engineering. From August 2020 to July 2023, he attended the the Singapore University of Social Sciences in Bukit Timah, Central Region, Singapore where he earned his bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering.
In August 2023, Sathguru entered Nanyang Technology University in Jalan Bahar, Singapore to pursue a master’s degree in electronic engineering. He is expected to graduate in August 2025.
Mister Global 2024
On August 15, 2024, Sathguru competed against 13 other Mister World Singapore 2024 finalists at Rave Singapore in Dhoby Ghaut District, Singapore. He ranked third and was crowned Mister Global Singapore 2024.
The Mister World Singapore 2024 title went to Isaac Yip, 23, who was crowned by Joshua Moses. Also crowned were Mister International Singapore 2024 Daryl Ng, Mister Celebrity Singapore 2024 Jeremy Ng and Mister Cosmopolitan Singapore 2024 Baron Chia.
On October 6, 2024, Sathguru represented Singapore at Mister Global 2024 and competed against 31 other candidates at the MCC Hall The Mall Bangkapi in Bangkok, Thailand. He was unplaced.
It was Daumier “Dom” Corilla of the Philippines who won the Mister Global 2024 crown. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Manuel Romo of Spain, Favour Ogbuokiri of Nigeria, Patrick Pho-ngam Forstner of Thailand and Luiz Mascarenhas of Brazil.
Mister World 2024
On August 10, 2023, Moses competed against 13 other Mister World Singapore 2023 candidates at The Ahava in Paya Lebar, East Region, Singapore and won the title. He was supposed to represent Singapore at Mister World 2024 but on October 17, 2024, he was replaced by Sathguru.
Including Sathguru, a total of 75 men will compete for the Mister World 2024 title. The coronation ceremony will be held at NovaWorld in Phan Thiết, Bình Thuận, Vietnam on November 23, 2024.
This is the 11th edition of Mister World. The 10th edition was won by Jack Heslewood of England, United Kingdom at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines on August 23, 2019.
Also competing for the Mister World 2024 title are Manuel Alcantara-Turner, 22, of England and Kirk Bondad, 27, of the Philippines. Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Laos, Pakistan and Uganda will be represented for the first time.
