Professionally known as Jeon Somi, Korean-Canadian-Dutch singer and songwriter Ennik Somi Jeon Douma, 23, is REVOLVE‘s first ever global brand ambassador. This was announced by the retailing company on October 17, 2024.
On the same day, REVOLVE’s campaign featuring Jeon was released exclusively at the brand’s website. The brand’s chief brand officer Raissa Gerona stated, “We are so excited to welcome Jeon Somi to the REVOLVE family. This marks our first-ever global campaign, reflecting our commitment to supporting our growing business in Asia and leading the way in fashion innovation.”
Gerona described Jeon as a major cultural influence and trendsetter who always stays authentic to who she is. According to the former, the collaboration will foster a deeper connection between fashion and music by creating a synergy that celebrates the artistic vision of the latter and resonates with fans worldwide.
Jeon Somi
Jeon is a citizen of South Korea, Canada and the Netherlands. She was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada to Matthew Douma and Jeon Sun Hee.
Matthew is of Dutch and German descent. Jeon is South Korean.
On October 29, 2021, The Black Label released Somi’s debut studio album “XOXO”. The album has eight songs including “Don’t Let Me Go” featuring Hong Si Young, also known as Giriboy.
REVOLVE
REVOLVE describes itself as the next-generation fashion retailer for millennial and Generation Z consumers. It is based in Cerritos, California, USA.
In December 2023, REVOLVE and FWRD opened a pop-up in Aspen, Colorado, USA. The latter is a fashion platform that showcases curated collections from an exclusive roster of designers.
In June 2024, REVOLVE opened its first permanent brick-and-mortar store in Aspen. It features apparel, footwear and accessories from both REVOLVE and FWRD.
