Jasmin Castro Bungay, 26, of Porac, Pampanga, Philippines is a teacher. She competed in Binibining Pilipinas and The Miss Globe.
From June 2014 to April 2018, Bungay attended Angeles University Foundation in Angeles City, Philippines where she earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary education. She majored in mathematics.
Bb. Pilipinas 2024
On July 7, 2024, Bungay represented Pampanga at Binibining Pilipinas 2024 and competed against 39 other candidates at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. The coronation ceremony was hosted by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Miss International 2016 Kylie Versoza, Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves, Miss World 1993 second runner-up Ruffa Gutierrez and Miss Universe 2014 Top 10 finalist MJ Lastimosa.
Myrna Esguerra of Abra ranked first and was crowned Bb. Pilipinas-International 2024. She will represent the Philippines at Miss International 2025.
Bungay ranked second and was crowned Bb. Pilipinas-Globe 2024. Christal Jean de la Cruz of Zambales and Trisha Martinez were the respective first and second runners-up.
The Miss Globe 2024
On October 15, 2024, Bungay represented the Philippines at The Miss Globe 2024 and competed against 42 other candidates at the Tirana Olympic Park in Tirana, Albania. She was second runner-up to Diana Moreno of Colombia.
Runner-up to Moreno was Prada Thansita Dilhokanar of Thailand, who also won Miss Talent. The respective third and fourth runners-up were Andromeda Schuster of Germany and Ha Trang Do of Vietnam, who was the People’s Choice.
Karolina Grabowska of Poland won the Miss Photogenic award and finished in the Top 16. Gao Qianyu of China was unplaced but she was Miss Friendship and was runner-up to Dilhokanar in the talent portion.
Alban Xhihani and Eva Murati hosted the coronation ceremony. The Miss Globe 2023 Aanvi Khera served as a judge along with Antonis Theocharis Kioukas, Armand Peza, Cory Tran, Elton Ilirjani, Luis Portelles, Malan Breton and Olivia Gega.
