Glendale, Arizona’s Clayton Carpenter beats Lucas Rocha at ‘UFC Vegas 98’ in Enterprise, Nevada

Clayton “Concrete” Carpenter, 28, of Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona, United States is still an undefeated professional mixed martial artist. Training at The MMA Lab in Glendale, he is currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, which is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Before joining the UFC, Carpenter competed in Iron Boy Promotions, World Fighting Federation and Legacy Fighting Alliance. On August 9, 2022, he defeated Edgar Chairez via unanimous decision at “Dana White’s Contender Series 2022” Week 3 at the UFC Apex in Enterprise, Las Vegas Valley, Clark County, Nevada.

On February 18, 2023, Carpenter made his UFC debut. On June 4, 2024, he turned 28.

On October 12, 2024, the UFC held “UFC Fight Night 244“, which is also known as “UFC on ESPN+ 102” and “UFC Vegas 98“, at the UFC Apex in Enterprise. The card featured 12 MMA matches.

In the first bout, Carpenter faced Lucas “Fenomeno” Rocha, 24, of Coari, Amazonas, Brazil. They battled it out in the flyweight division with Mark Smith as the referee.

After 2 minutes and 12 seconds in the second round, Smith stopped the flyweight contest. Carpenter won via technical submission via rear-naked choke.

The victory improved Carpenter’s professional MMA record to 8 wins and 0 loss. It was his second UFC win after his successful Dana White’s Contender Series appearance.

Rocha made his UFC debut at “UFC Vegas 98”. He now has 17 wins and 2 losses.
