Fatma Suleiman, 23, of Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania is Miss Grand Tanzania 2024. She is a model and an actor with a bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine.

Miss Grand Tanzania 2024

On August 31, 2024, Suleiman and 14 other candidates competed for the Miss Grand Tanzania 2024 title at the Warehouse Arena Masaki in Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam. It is the second edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Tanzania’s Miss Grand International candidate.

Deogratius Kithama hosted the coronation ceremony, which featured performances by Faustina “Nancy” Charles Mfinanga. ZamaradiTV broadcast the show live on Azam TV Channel 413.

It was Suleiman who won the title. Lujeyn Ahmed, 18, of Dodoma ranked second and was crowned Miss Cosmo Tanzania 2024.

Sharon Julius Ndasala, 22, of Tarime ranked third and was crowned Miss Africa International Tanzania 2024. The respective first and second runners-up were Jackline J. Kagila, 20, and Jeniffer Augustine Shirima, 20.

Suleiman will represent Tanzania in the 12th edition of Miss Grand International. The African country has yet to place in the international beauty pageant based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Before Suleiman, Tanzania was represented in Miss Grand International four times, which were in 2014 by Lorraine Marriot, in 2015 by Jinah Dameckh, in 2017 by Batuli Mohamed and in 2018 by Mugesi Gesase. On August 11, 2017, Mohamed won the inaugural edition of Miss Grand Tanzania at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam.

In 2015, Marriot represented Tanzania in Miss Universe. She joined the Miss Grand Tanzania 2024 selection committee with fashion designer Martin Kadinda, Miss Tanzania 2020 Rosey Manfere and Miss Tanzania 2024 Halima Kopwe.
