Bryoni Govender, Sectra Okundaye, Marie-Louise Maitre among Miss Supranational 2024 candidates from Africa

Six African beauty queens are vying for the Miss Supranational 2024 title. Among them are Bryoni Govender, 27, of Kempton Park, South Africa, Sectra Okundaye, 25, of Zamfara, Nigeria and Marie-Louise Maitre, 26, of Bouake, Cote d’Ivoire

Govender finished in the Top 12 at Miss South Africa 2018 and was runner-up to Miss South Africa 2023 Natasha Joubert. The former finished in the Top 20 at Miss Universe 2023.

Maitre is Miss Côte d’Ivoire Gbêkê 2022. On April 22, 2024, she was appointed Miss Supranational Cote d’ivoire 2024.

Okundaye finished in the Top 16 at Miss Massachusetts USA 2023. She was crowned Miss Supranational Nigeria 2023 as the runner-up to Miss Universe Nigeria 2023 Ugochi Ihezue.

On July 6, 2024, the Miss Supranational 2024 coronation ceremony will be held at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Malopolskta, Poland. It will be hosted by Aleksander Sikora, Kataryna Koleczek and Nico Panagio.

Miss Polonia 1992 Ewa Wachowicz, Miss Supranational 2022 second runner-up Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen, Miss Supranational 2023 Andrea Aguilera and Mister Supranational 2023 Ivan Alvarez Guedes will join the selection committee. Whoever wins Mister Supranational 2024 on July 4, 2024 will also serve as a judge.

Including Govender, Sokundaye and Maitre, 68 women are competing for the Miss Supranational 2024 title. Here are the candidates from Africa:
