Alma Cooper, 22, of Okemos, Ingham County, Michigan, United States is an active-duty U.S. Army officer. She will represent Michigan at Miss USA 2024.
In May 2023, Cooper graduated the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in West Point, New York, USA with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and became a U.S. Army second lieutenant. In May 1999, her father graduated from the same academy.

From July 2021 to August 2021, Cooper was an intern at the U.S. Army Center for Army Analysis in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, USA. In August 2023, she entered Stanford University in Stanford, California, USA to pursue her master’s degree in data science.
On April 21, 2024, Cooper represented Okemos at Miss Michigan USA 2024 and competed against 64 other candidates at the McMorran Entertainment Center in Port Huron, St. Clair County, Michigan. She won the title.
Runner-up to Cooper was Farmington’s Emma Hahn. The respective second, third, fourth and fifth runners-up were Mona Lake’s Michele Lewandoski, Miss Heart of Michigan Jada Dudley, North Southfield’s Aurora Nash and Macomb County’s Bonita Loka.
On August 4, 2024, Cooper will represent Michigan at Miss USA 2024. She will compete against 50 other candidates at the The Biltmore Los Angeles in Los Angeles, California.
Currently, Michigan has 26 Miss USA placements including the coronation of Carole Gist in 1990, Kenya Moore in 1993 and Rima Fakih in 2010. The most recent one was in 2018 when Elizabeth Johnson finished in the Top 15.
