Shweta Sharda, 24, of Chandigarh, India is Miss Diva 2023. She is a professional dancer and choreographer.
Born and raised in Chandigarh, Sharda moved to Mumbai, India in 2016 and started living independently. She is Suhana Dawra’s daughter and Jatin Sharda’s sister.
Representing Chandigarh, Harnaaz Sandhu won Miss Diva 2021 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Mumbai on September 30, 2021. Representing India, she won Miss Universe 2021 at the Universe Dome in Eilat, Israel on December 13, 2021.
From “Dance India Dance” to “Dance Deewane” to “Dance Plus“
Shweta participated in the dance reality series “Dance India Dance” Season 6, which aired on Zee TV from November 4, 2017 to February 18, 2018. She was a member of Marzi Pestonji’s team.
Afterwards, Shweta competed in the dance reality show “Dance Deewane“ Season 1, which aired on Colors TV from June 2, 2018 to September 15, 2018. She was eliminated in the second episode and reappeared as a wild card contestant but did not reach the finals.
Competing against 14 other dancers, Shweta was a contestant in “Dance Plus” Season 6, which aired on Disney+Hotstar from September 14, 2021 to October 15, 2021. She finished 10th.
From Miss Diva 2023 to Miss Universe 2023
On August 27, 2023, Shweta represented Chandigarh at Miss Diva 2023 and competed against 15 other finalists at The LaLiT in Mumbai. She won the top title, which is Miss Universe India 2023.
Also crowned was Miss Supranational India 2023 Sonal Kukreja of Jaipur. The first runner-up was Trisha Shetty of Mumbai.
On November 18, 2023, Shweta will represent India at Miss Universe 2023 in San Salvador, El Salvador. She will compete against more than 80 other candidates including Isabella Garcia Manzo, 20, of El Salvador, Phaimany Lathsabanthao, 28, of Laos and Michelle Dee, 28, of the Philippines.
