“K-pop” is a collaboration song by “Travis Scott” Jacques Bermon Webster II, 32, of the United States, “Bad Bunny” Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, 29, of Puerto Rico and “the Weekend” Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, 33, of Canada. On July 21, 2023, Cactus Jack and Epic Records released the song in the U.S.
On the same day, the “K-pop” music video was released. It features cameo appearances from Pharrell Williams, 50, Matthew Williams, 37, and “SZA” Solána Imani Rowe, 33.
Travis Scott, Bad Bunny and the Weeknd co-wrote “K-pop” with “Illangelo” Carlo Montagnese, 35, “BNYX” Benjamin Saint-Fort, 28, “Boi-1da” Matthew Jehu Samuels, 36, and “J. Sweet” Jahaan Akil Sweet, 30. Illangelo, BNYX, Boi-1da and J. Sweet produced the song.
On July 28, 2023, Cactus Jack and Epic Records will release Scott’s fourth studio album “Utopia“. “K-pop” is a promotional single for the album.
Scott will perform at his “UTOPIA” concert at the pyramids of Giza in Egypt on July 28, 2023. It is meant to showcase his upcoming fourth studio album.
On July 18, 2023, the Egyptian Syndicate of Musical Professionals canceled Scott’s permit, accusing him of carrying out strange rituals. But on the same day, Live Nation Middle East announced that there have been no changes to his show in Egypt.
