Urvashi Rautela represented India in Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International and Miss Universe. She was born in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India to Manwar Singh Rautela and Meera Rautela.

Urvashi attended St. Joseph’s Convent School in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand and Gargi College in Delhi, India. On February 25, 2021, she turned 27.

From Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2011 to I AM She 2012

On May 11, 2011, Urvashi represented India in the 17th edition of Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International in Yingtan, Jiangxi, China and won the title. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Ivanna Gorschar of Ukraine, Amanda Warecka of Poland, Ooi Lee Shen “Eugenee” of Malaysia and Pyung Hee Kong of South Korea.

On September 21, 2012, Urvashi competed against 19 other candidates in the third edition of I AM She – Miss Universe India at the Leonia Holistic Destination in Hyderabad, Telengana, India. She won the title.

Runner-up to Urvashi was Shilpa Singh. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Arlette Grao, Dipna Patel and Aneesha Chowdhary.

Due to Urvashi’s reign as Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2011, she was not able to represent India in the 61st edition of Miss Universe. On December 19, 2012, Singh represented the country at Miss Universe 2012, competed against 88 other candidates at PH Live of the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States and finished in the Top 16.

From Miss Diva 2015 to Miss Universe 2021

On October 14, 2015, Urvashi competed against 15 other Miss Diva 2015 candidates at Sahara Star in Mumbai, India. She won the title and the respective first and second runners-up were Natasha Assadi and Naveli Deshmukh.

On December 20, 2015, Urvashi represented India at Miss Universe 2015 and competed against 79 other candidates at The AXIS in Las Vegas. She was unplaced.

Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines won the title while Ariadna Gutierrez of Colombia and Olivia Jordan of the U.S. were the respective first and second runners-up. The judges were Miss USA 2013 Erin Brady, Erika Albies, Julio Caro, Keiko Uraguchi, Nischelle Turner, Rocky Motwani and Zak Soreff during the preliminary competition and Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, Emmitt Smith, Niecy Nash and Perez Hilton during the final telecast.

On December 13, 2021, Urvashi joined the selection committee in the 70th edition of Miss Universe at the Universe Dome in Eilat, Israel along with Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere, Adamari Lopez, Adriana Lima, Marian Rivera and Rena Sofer. Representing India, Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned Miss Universe 2021.

Runner-up up to Sandhu was Nadia Ferreira of Paraguay. The second runner-up was Lalela Mswane of South Africa.
