Professionally known as Rina Mor, Rina Mor-Goder represented Israel in Miss Universe. She was born Rina Messinger in Kiryat Tiv’on, Israel.

In 1981, Mor’s book “מלכה לשנה אחת” (Queen for a Year) was published. It was about her experience as Miss Universe 1976.

In 1982, Mor married Doron Goder. They have two daughters together.

Malkat Hayofi 1976

On May 25, 1976, Mor was crowned Malkat HaYofi 1976. The respective first, second and third runners-up were Na’arat Israel 1976 Levana Abarbanel, Malkat Hachen 1976 Yif’at Netzer and Malkat Hayofi-Esreh 1976 Nurit Amir.

On July 11, 1976, Mor represented Israel at Miss Universe 1976 and competed against 71 other candidates at the Lee Theatre in Hong Kong China. She won the title.

Runner-up to Mor was Judith Castillo of Venezuela. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Sian Adey-Jones of Wales, Carol Grant of Scotland and Julie Ismay of Australia.

On May 3, 1977, Mor crowned her successor Malkat Hayofi 1977 Zehava Vardi. On July 16, 1977, Mor crowned her successor Miss Universe 1977 Janelle Commissiong of Trinidad and Tobago.

Runner-up to Commissiong was Eva Duringer of Austria. Sandra Bell of Scotland, Aura Maria Mojica of Colombia and Marie-Luise Gassen of West Germany were the respective second, third and fourth runners-up while Vardi was unplaced.

Miss Universe 2021

On February 21, 1989, Mor served as a judge at Malkat Hayofi 1989. The title was won by Nicole Halperin, who was unplaced at Miss Universe 1989.

On March 22, 2004, Mor served as a judge at Malkat Hayofi 2004. The title was won by Gal Gadot, who was unplaced at Miss Universe 2004.

On December 10, 2021, Mor served as a judge during the preliminary competition of Miss Universe 2021 in Eilat, Israel. A total of 80 candidates battled it out in the swimsuit, evening gown and national costume competitions.

Mor did not join the election committee during the coronation ceremony in Eilat on December 13, 2021. Harnaaz Sandhu of India won the title while Nadia Ferreira of Paraguay and Lalela Mswane of South Africa were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
