Chantel O’Brian was born and raised in Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas. He represented the Bahamas in Miss World and Miss Universe.
O’Brian is of Haitian descent. On January 5, 2021, she turned 27.
From Miss Bahamas Universe 2013 to Miss World Bahamas 2015
On September 8, 2023, O’Brian competed against seven other Miss Bahamas Universe 2013 candidates at the Atlantis Theatre on Paradise Island, Bahamas. She was runner-up to Lexi Wilson while Tavette Darville and Shanae Strachen were the respective second and third runners-up.
On August 3, 2014, O’Brian represented Ocean Cay at Miss World Bahamas 2014 and competed against six other candidates at the Atlantis Grand Ballroom on Paradise Island. Rosetta Cartwright won the title.
Runner-up to Cartwright was Shanae Strachan. O’Brian was the second runner-up.
On September 14, 2015, O’Brian competed against five other Miss World Bahamas 2015 candidates at the Atlantis Paradise Theatre in Nassau. She won the title.
Darvelle was runner-up to O’Brian. Angenique Smith was the second runner-up.
From Miss World 2015 to Miss Universe 2021
On December 19, 2015, O’Brian represented the Bahamas at Miss World 2015 and competed against 149 other candidates in Sanya, China. She was unplaced.
On October 3, 2021, O’Brian represented New Providence at Miss Bahamas Universe 2021 at the Grand Salon in Rosewood, Bahamas and won the title. She competed against three other finalists namely Danielle Dean of Acklins, Alea Sweeting of Cat Island and Peteche Bethell of Eleuthera.
On December 13, 2021, O’Brian represented the Bahamas at Miss Universe 2021 and competed against 79 other candidates in Eilat, Israel. She finished in the Top 10, which marked the Bahamas’s first ever Miss Universe placement.
